Cannot keep this vehicle

I want to love this vehicle, I really do but GM's lack of customer service is going to make me get rid of it and because of their overall service, I will never buy another GM car again. Overall, the vehicle checks the boxes if you are looking for a large SUV that has good room inside, is styled nicely inside and out and can tow a decent amount. I purchased the Platinum trim level new in 17. As soon as I drove it alone w/ nobody in the passenger front seat I noticed a ticking noise coming from that seat. Think of someone pressing a computer key as rapidly as possible. Long story short, vehicle has been into two different dealers almost twenty times for the same issue (among others), the seat has had numerous parts replaced, engineers from corporate have come by to try to diagnose it, I opened up a claim with corporate GM. All I want is a new seat since they cannot fix the problem. They refuse to do it and told me the noise is 'normal'. No its not! I have driven a few others of the same year and none make the noise. They have closed my case and refuse to help me or fix the seat and I cannot keep a vehicle that taps and rattles all the time. Especially a vehicle I paid $60k for. Shame on GM for not doing what is right and taking care of a customer. No way a vehicle should be back close to twenty times for the same issue and then told to deal with it basically. I will be trading this vehicle in on another brand SUV and I will never come back to GM again. - 1.0

I traded my 2016 JKUR for this truck because the Jeep couldn't get out of its own way. The RST edition is great for performance. I love the 6.2L V8 and 10 speed Auto, but less than a month of owning it the antenna leaked and got water all over the front passenger seat. Dealership fixed it under warranty and said it would never happen again. Now four months after the fix its doing it again. I looked up the issue and it has been a problem for a few years. It seems like GM can't figure it out. So if you like a shower while driving, mold growing in your overpriced SUV, and future electrical problems go for it. As for me I will never buy a new Chevy again. - 4.0

The Tahoe Premier is Top quality, Big, Tall, Bulky, Massive and a great vehicle for empty Nesters. Since we travel this vehicle can handle the distance. We drove the 2000 Tahoe LTZ which has less than 10,000 built until we found the 2017 Premier. It's solid! The body commands a second look and The engine purr's. We're accustomed to the police package used in police pursuit vehicles housed under this hood. Its a power house of energy! The premier does not disappoint. There is nothing that makes you smile like the sound of that V-8 engine kicking into gear. Picks up speed instantly and glides on the highway with its Magnetic ride control (MRC). We average up to 33mpg on the highway and in town about 14.8 mpg. The higher octane the better the milage. I feel the ride is equal to the Escalades for price and features. We drove the Escalade and prefered the Premier. With the MRC the ride is smooth and the shocks equal out rough road surfaces. The running board provide easy access and the assist bars are well placed. The doors are weighted, when you close them you hear and feel its solid sound and they seal tight. But they are light weight and easy to open and close. The premier is easy to handles in tight spaces and turns on a dime. The back up cameras were hard to get used to but once engaged you can't do without them. Bumper sensors alert in the drivers seat jolt you, right or left when backing out or wondering into next lane with out a turn signal. As well the steering wheel will correct itself when wondering into next lane. Easy parking and you don't need massive room. We opted for leather Bucket seats front and Back. Love the heated and cool air seats front and back. Pay special attention when cleaning the leather, pores can become clogged with the wrong cleaning products. The Tahoe seat 5 comfortably. The 3rd row seat useless, with less than 12 inches of leg space. Only the center of the 3rd row seat is useable if you have bucket seats on the second row. When 3rd seat is folded down it makes the rear too high and inconvenient for loading and unloading. Hidden compartments for valuables are a plus. And a rear seat reminder for your package is a life saver. USB ports front and back for easy access. High Tech features will have you overwhelmed but time and usage will make it a breeze. Its equipped with an On Star Automatic Crash Package. Until I mastered programing my maps on occasion I'd call On Star for assistance and they would send step by step instructions to the display or stay on the line with step by step instructions. How did I ever live without them? Biggest disappoinment the seats not as comfortable as my 2000 Tahoe, they should be better. I like the plush comfort not the slim seat used in a cock pit. Instrument panel is impressive and easy to view and use. The console is too big and massive, intrusive. To large, too deep and too high, too wide. It's the size of an Arctic 15 can day cooler. My handbag is usually tossed on the passenger seat or on back floorboard very inconvenient . The mirrors are an obstruction for me I'm 4'11" and I'm eye level with them. No matter how I position the drivers seat the mirror is a problem, Leaving a blind spot. Problem when entering traffic and making a tight left turn.The carpet leaves a lot to be desired it's just cheap. Would have expected better. Only 2 cup holders in front. Tall drinking cups cause problem removing things from my hand bag, or reaching across to the passenger seat, forget reaching over and trying to get something off the floor board. If somethings falls on the passenger floorboard you'll have to stop, pull over and walk around to pick it up, extremely inconvenient. The storage pockets on the door are too slim and hardly usable. The door pocket will hold a bottle of water upright though, thats how narrow they are. The Tahoe 2000 had nice large pockets. When washing pay special attention to the back all the additional detail makes hidden spots for dirt and takes extra time to clean. Overall I'd recommend this vehicle to my girlfriends I'd give it 4 star just because the interior was not built for women. Over all Mechanically this baby is sound, its a Beast and you'll love its performance. Girls just like power.
